🔬🧪 Our 8th Grade Advanced Science students brought science to life today with the Iodine Starch Lab!
In this experiment, students observed diffusion in action. Iodine molecules were able to pass through a semi-permeable bag and react with starch inside, turning it a blue-black color. Starch molecules, being too large, could not pass through—giving students a clear, hands-on demonstration of how molecules move across membranes.
Amazing job to our young scientists for exploring the processes that happen every day inside living cells! 🌟

We are so proud to announce the students who have been selected to represent Sullivan Middle School on this year’s Student Council!
This was an incredibly close race with so many outstanding candidates, which made the decision a tough one. We are thankful for everyone who showed interest in leading our school.
