Meet our 2023-2024 student council! We are excited to have this great group of students, with the help of advisor Miss Stone, representing Sullivan Middle School this year!

A big THANK YOU! to the Lion’s Club for coming to our schools and doing vision screenings! All SWSC 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 8th grade students were screened. If any vision issues were detected, parents will receive a letter from our school nurse, Amanda Wheeler, in the next couple of weeks.

There are so many student-athletes for us to be proud of today!

From Coach Horn:
Huge upset delivered to Greencastle as the Middle School Football team traveled for game one!! Gold team set the standard with a great 28-0 win.
Tevin Boone had 3 touchdowns and a two-point conversion. Wyatt Wards ran hard and came away with 1 touchdown and a two-point conversion. Carter Keller and an amazing interception that set the pace for this amazing WIN!!
Purple mixed-up a big batch of pancakes all night!! They walked away with a huge 48-0 win. Jensen McKee (Carlisle) had 2 touchdowns and rushed nearly 100 yards. Braden Simpson had 1 touchdown and 2, two-point conversions. Hunter Sappington went from Tigger to Tiger with 2 touchdowns (one being a 47-yard reception) and a two-point conversion. He also rushed nearly 60 yards. Tanner Boyll led the Arrows in a decisive victory as the acting QB1. He added several yards in rushing, on defense he had a crazy interception resulting in a pick 6 (touchdown) and several passes resulting in scores. William Davis added 1 touchdown and earned the nickname "Mack truck" for his running and big defensive hits. Great job to both teams!

Did you lose your glasses?? These prescription glasses were found in the Multipurpose Room bleachers on Aug. 10 after a golf parent meeting. You may claim them in the office.

Mark Your Calendars!

Mark your calendars for our first day of the 2023-2024 school year!

FYI:

We want to wish a happy retirement to these lovely ladies: Cindy Huston, Lisa Ridge, and Barb Johnson. Their combined 90+ years of experience is greatly appreciated and they will be missed by students and staff. Happy perpetual summer to each of you!

Purdue Extension - Sullivan County Director Cheryl Casselman and Summer Assistant Karley Marchino presented blankets for students impacted by the March 31 tornado to SMS Principal Dusty Hitt. The fleece blankets were made by the Riley 4-H Club while the quilted blankets were made during last year's state fair by hands from across the state. They are sure to be treasured!

Please contact Mrs. Wells for any needs.

Next week we will be having Spirit Week to celebrate the end of the school year!

Yesterday was our 5th Grade Tour! We are so excited to welcome this class to SMS next year. A big thank you to SMS student council members for being great tour guides.

We had some sweet little visitors in SP today! So glad they could come over and have some fun!#mentorship #SESSMSConnection
