Winter Homecoming Dress-Up Days
Roll into Monday: Get off the Tour Bus Favorite Band/Artist & Comfy Pants.
Battle of the Band Tuesday: Dress up like your favorite artist/Country vs. Rockstar.
Rock Out to Red v. Pink Wednesday: Wear a hat to top off your ensemble.
Make it Rain Purple & Gold Thursday: Bring anything but a backpack.

Beta
Beta members will have a meeting on Monday, February 26th until 3:45. If your child will be staying you MUST put it in Pick-Up patrol. Students may be picked up at the south entrance (door 23)
5th Grade Talent Show
The 5th Grade Talent Show will be held on Wednesday, February 21 at 1:00pm in the SES Gym. Students who wish to participate should be bringing home a permission slip to sign up for an audition time.
Legacy of Love
2nd grade teacher Mrs. Hamilton will be collecting items to be donated within our community in honor of her step-father who passed away on Valentine’s Day. Items will be collected until Wednesday, February 14th then will be picked up/delivered.
K-2 will be collecting items for the Sullivan County Humane Shelter. Items would include cat and dog food, cat litter, newspapers, paper towels, bleach and cleaning supplies. Many of these items may be too heavy or large for your child to bring to school. Please feel free to drop donations of large or heavy items to the shelter and let them know you are donating to “Legacy of Love.”
3-5 will be collecting items for Sullivan County Brown Baggers. Brown Baggers provides food to meet the needs of hungry students in Sullivan County. Items needed are 100% fruit juice BOXES (not pouches), fruit cups, tuna and chicken pouches, granola bars, apple sauce, Pop Tarts, NutriGrain Bars, fruit snacks, peanut butter crackers (variety packs are ok as well), Vienna Sausages, Soup (tomato, chicken noodle) Tuna and Chicken Salad Kits, Macaroni and Cheese POUCHES (not cups) and other non perishable items.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Program
The Big Brothers Big Sisters Program’s next meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 13th from 3 to 4. This is for students who have previously signed up and been accepted to the program. Students are to report to the cafeteria at dismissal. For students to be able to stay, parents MUST put this in PickUp Patrol. Students can be picked up at the south entrance (door 23) at 4 PM. SHS Post Prom Committee – Valentine’s Parent Night Out
Kindergarten - 5th grade students are invited to join us for an evening of Valentine’s fun while parents and guardians have a little time to relax on Saturday, February 10th from 5-9pm at SHS.
What to expect: Crafts, Games, Valentine gift project, pizza dinner and more!
1st Child: $30, Each Additional Child: $20

School Smiles
School Smiles will be returning to our school the first week of March. You may register your student by clicking the following link www.schoolsmiles.com/student-signup or you may grab a form from the office. If students were seen during the Fall visit this year, then there is no need to re-register.
Yearbook
Our deadline to order is quickly approaching! Don’t forget to order your Sullivan Elementary School yearbook today at ybpay.com using Yearbook ID Code: 1284724. Yearbooks cost $18 and the order deadline is March 8, 2024.
Homework Helps
Homework helps will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 4:10. If you would like your child to participate, you may contact your child’s teacher to get them signed up. If your student plans to stay you MUST put that in Pick-Up Patrol.
Math Problem of the Week
All students in grades 3-5 are invited to participate in the math problem of the week contest on canvas. Answers are due every Friday by 12:00pm. The winner will be announced every Friday afternoon. If you have any questions you may contact Mrs. Faulk.
