SES/SMS Sports Passes
Sports passes may be purchased to use to enter any school sponsored SES or SMS home sporting event, excluding tournaments, for the 2023/2024 school year. They will cost $40 per family, or $10 for individual and may be purchased in the office during office hours. Cash or check only.
November Beta Service Project
Beta members will be sponsoring a candy drive to benefit our local Christmas for Kids program. The K-5 classroom to bring in the most bags of candy will win an ice cream party. Beta’s will receive 1 hour of service for each bag of candy they bring in.
Veteran’s Day Breakfast and Program
Veteran’s Day program will be Wednesday, November 8th at 8:45am in the SES gym. We will be serving breakfast beforehand in the library at 7:45am for any Veteran who would like to attend. Parents may enter through door 23 beginning at 8:30.
Math Problem of the Week
All students in grades 3-5 are invited to participate in the math problem of the week contest on canvas. Answers are due every Friday by 12:00pm. The winner will be announced every Friday afternoon. If you have any questions you may contact Mrs. Faulk.
Yearbook
Order your Sullivan Elementary School yearbook today at ybpay.com using Yearbook ID Code: 1284724. Yearbooks cost $18 and the order deadline is March 8, 2024.
5th Grade Girl Scout Troop 4534
5th grade Girl Scout troop 4534 will have a meeting on Tuesday, November 7th from 3pm to 4pm in the Library.
Archery
Archery practice for the elementary school students will begin on November 7th. Times are as follows:
3rd grade- 5:30-6:30
4th grade- 6:30-7:30
5th grade- 7:30-8:30
Students will enter the middle school through the main doors. Practice will take place in the multipurpose room.
Friday practices begin on November 10 and are open from 6:30-8:30.
Basketball
Starting the week of 10/31 the weekly practice schedule will be:
5th/6th boys- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7:00-8:30
5th girls- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 4:30-6:00
6th girls- Monday and Wednesday 5:30-7:00, Tuesday and Thursday 3:00-4:30
If your student will be staying after school for practice you MUST have that in Pick-Up Patrol or they will not be allowed to stay.
Wrestling Club
Club Wrestling sign-ups will be in the wrestling room at the SAC from 5:30-6:30pm for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade on the following dates 11/6, 11/7, 11/13, 11/14. Club fee will be $40. Practices will be announced at a later date.
Cheer
Sign-ups are in the office for any 5th grader interested in signing up for cheer. The first practice will take place after school until 4 on Nov. 2nd at the SMS gym. A physical MUST be on file & they need to be signed up on Final Forms in order to participate. If your student will be staying after school for practice you MUST have that in Pick-Up Patrol or they will not be allowed to stay.
Spell Bowl
Spell Bowl practices will take place in Ms. Lincoln’s third grade classroom after school until 4:30 on the following dates: 11/6, 11/9 (*Dates are subject to change). Pickup will be at the front entrance.
If your student will be staying after school for practice you MUST have that in Pick-Up Patrol or they will not be allowed to stay.
Dance Team
Dance practice will be every Wednesday from 3-4pm in the elementary gym. If your student plans to stay you MUST put that in Pick-Up Patrol.
Sullivan 4-H
Sullivan County 4-H Enrollment is now open!
Parents can go to v2.4honline.com to enroll/re-enroll their children in 4-H for 2024.
Grades are as of January 1, 2024.
• Mini 4-H is Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
• Regular 4-H is 3rd through 12th grade.
Mini 4-H is free. Regular 4-H cost is $15. Please pay online or cash or check at the Extension Office. Make checks payable to: Purdue CES Ed Fund.

Homework Helps
Homework helps will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 4:10. If you would like your child to participate, you may contact your child’s teacher to get them signed up. If your student plans to stay you MUST put that in Pick-Up Patrol.
Beta
Beta Club meetings will take place on the following Wednesdays after school in the cafeteria: 11/8. Students may be picked up at 4:00 at door 23 located by the gym. If your student plans to stay you MUST put that in PickUp Patrol.

Beta Convention
The Beta Club Convention will take place on November 9th and November 10th at the Old National Events Plaza in Evansville, IN. Convention projects have been announced and the convention information packets have been sent home with those students. Maddog’s Bowling League
There are forms in the office to sign-up for youth bowling leagues through Maddog’s Restaurant and Bowl. Leagues last 12 weeks and run from 10/2/23-12/18/23. They will be 3 person teams and have 2 games per week. Cost is $15 per kid and includes shoes and a pizza party at the end. Forms are to be turned in at Maddog’s Restaurant and Bowl.
