Observed annually on the first Friday in May, this day honors the dedication of school nutrition staff who prepare healthy meals, follow strict safety standards, and serve every student with care and kindness. School Lunch Hero Day was inspired by author Jarrett J. Krosoczka to recognize the important role these professionals play in our schools.
At Southwest School Corporation, we are grateful for our cafeteria teams who go above and beyond to support our students and families.
Please join us in thanking our School Lunch Heroes! ❤️🤍

Our teachers go far beyond delivering lessons, they inspire curiosity, build relationships, create safe and supportive classrooms, and help every student reach their full potential. Their dedication, patience, and passion are the foundation of our schools and our community.
From early learning to graduation, our educators shape futures, open doors, and leave a lasting impact that extends well beyond the classroom.
To all of our teachers across Southwest Schools, thank you for your commitment, your compassion, and the countless ways you support our students and families.
We appreciate you this week and every week.

Happy Principal Appreciation Day to our outstanding administrators! Your dedication to students, staff, and our community does not go unnoticed. Thank you for the leadership, care, and commitment you bring to Southwest Schools.
We are grateful for all that you do! 💜💛

🏀 Join SWSC in celebrating an incredible milestone!

We hope to see you there!

They are inviting students and parents to take a short, 2-minute survey to share your thoughts and help improve their services. Your input is important in ensuring they are meeting the needs of our entire school community.
The survey will close on May 1, so please take a moment to participate.

Layla impressed the judges with her creativity, cooking skills, and delicious recipe during this exciting event sponsored by Sodexo. The Future Chef program gives students the opportunity to showcase their culinary talents while learning about nutrition, creativity in the kitchen, and the joy of cooking.
We are also proud of our other student participants who did a wonderful job representing Sullivan and Carlisle Elementary: Tailyn Crowe, Bodhi Hiatt, and Lita Doades. Their hard work and enthusiasm made the competition a great success.
Thank you to Sodexo for sponsoring the Future Chef competition and providing our students with such a fun and meaningful experience for our students.

Deon will share his powerful personal journey of struggling with reading, later discovering he has dyslexia, and how that experience shaped his life both on and off the field. His message of perseverance, self-advocacy, and hope is one you won’t want to miss.
Join us for the community event where Deon will speak, sign autographs, take photos, and give away prizes. This is a wonderful opportunity for students, families, educators, and community members to come together around the importance of literacy and supporting every learner.
