Another senior night! Senior archers were recognized tonight at the 2023 Arrows Archery Classic. Thank you, Brayden Grimes, Gracie Cooley, Lilly Lett, Lucas Copenhaver, Kimberly Monroe, and Emma Garrett.

The Southwest School Corporation is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a $307,210 Comprehensive School Counseling Grant from the Indiana Department of Education. This grant will allow us to expand our existing counseling services and programs. SWSC’s comprehensive counseling team currently consists of Dave Lisman, Katie Couch, Krista Wells, and Dani Hamilton. The goal of the comprehensive counseling team at SWSC is to ensure that every student is socially and emotionally healthy, has the opportunity to experience academic success, and graduates career and/or college ready.

Today is the first day of National School Counseling Week. The theme of this year’s week is “School Counselors: Helping Students Dream Big.” Did you know that our school counseling team's number one goal is to help all of our students succeed? Whatever our students need to be successful – whether that’s learning how to stay motivated to complete work, having positive relationships with peers, learning to advocate for yourself, or overcoming barriers – our team is here to help!

Tonight's girls basketball sectional games have been postponed and they will be played tomorrow night (Wednesday, 2/1).

Boys JV/Varsity Basketball Schedule Change: Games scheduled at Indian Creek have been moved to Friday, February 10. The JV game will start at 6 PM.

Make up dates and times for varsity girls BB: 12/28 11 AM EST at Gibson Southern vs Silver Creek. 1/2 10:30 AM EST at Gibson Southern vs Gibson Southern 1/2 3 PM EST at Wood Memorial vs Wood Memorial Sullivan is on EST.

The girls BB tourney scheduled for 12/22 and 12/23 is canceled. A revised schedule (12/28 and 1/2) is in the works. More info to come once it is finalized.

Update to home basketball on Thursday, December 15: JV girls game with Greencastle is canceled. JV boys game with Greencastle will now start at 6 PM.

Girls BB Schedule Update for home game on 12/13: The JV will only play 2 quarters vs Shakamak on 12/13. This means the varsity could start as early as 6:45 PM.

Start time for home wrestling versus North Knox on Wednesday, December 7 is now 6:30 PM.

A girls JV basketball game has been added to the schedule. The girls JV team will play at North Knox on December 5 at 6 PM.

Gates will open at 5:30 PM on Friday. If you are not on site and in line by 6:30 you will run the risk of being in line for the opening kickoff.
