Every day is a HOLIDAY! Today is: Inspire Your Heart with Art Day
Random Fact of the Day: A head of broccoli is made up of hundreds of small flower buds.
Thought of the Day: I never think about what I want. It’s about what you give to other people. -Oprah
Our K-2 Indians got serious about their Box Tops this month! Congratulations to Miss Graves’ 2nd graders for bringing in the most, with 176. First grade was a very close 2nd place with 170 and the combined Kindergarten was 162. Very impressive!! Hat’s off to our 6th graders for bringing in 117. Thanks, everyone!!!
PTO is trying something new for the next PTO meeting. It will be on Tuesday, February 6th at 5:30pm! This new time is a trial to see if attendance will boost. Hope to see you there!

SHS-Soccer Needs Players
The Sullivan High School Soccer teams will begin their open gym schedule every Monday and Wednesday from 7:30pm-9pm in the high school gymnasium. Any eighth grade boy or girl interested in playing high school soccer may attend the open gym. This is not mandatory to play next season. Open gym is just a fun opportunity to continue to play soccer during the winter. Soccer experience is not required. All players must have a valid physical in the Carlisle School Office to participate. If you have any questions, you may call the boys soccer coach Perry Thomas at 812-564-0905 or the girls soccer coach Kurt Hauger at 812-236-0281.
Remember that all athletes MUST have a physical on file in the school office before you can participate in ANY practice.
Also remember: Students are not to stay in the building after school for any reason unless supervised by a coach or designated adult.
ASPIN’S HEALTH NAVIGATORS
Our school corporation has partnered with ASPIN’s Health Navigators to assist families in applying for health insurance as well as answering any questions you have concerning health coverage options. ASPIN’s Health Navigator offers these services FREE to the community. Forms went home with students in case you are interested. The number listed on the form to call is incorrect. You may call 877-313-7215 to receive free assistance from a Certified Health Navigator. You can also turn in the form to the school and we will pass along to Rose Roberts who comes to Carlisle School every second and fourth Wednesday of every month. If you would like to come and see her, her hours here are from 8am-11am. You can also email her at email@example.com.
LUNCH ACCOUNT BALANCES:
Parents, please check your child’s Harmony Account so you know what their lunch balance is at all times.
CONCESSIONS: After school concessions are every day after school. There will be Gatorade, chips, candy bars for sale. Please do not send large bills with your child. We do not have a lot of change. If we don’t have change, then your child won’t be able to purchase their snack.
PARENTS, PLEASE UPDATE HARMONY INFO
Parents or guardians enter their phone numbers, address, emergency contacts, etc. when registering your child(ren) for school every year. This is information that is very important. You should be looking at that and, if necessary, be changing it. If you move to a different address-you should change it in Harmony. If you get a new phone number-you should change it in Harmony. If you want to change your emergency contacts-you should change it in Harmony. If there are old contacts that are no longer used-you should change it in Harmony. These records need to be kept current. We will not be able to contact you in an emergency situation if our records are not accurate. Please call the school office if you need assistance.
PHONE CALLS FROM PARENTS ABOUT AFTER SCHOOL INSTRUCTIONS
We respectfully ask that all after school instructions for where your child needs to go be done before they leave home in the morning. A note for your child’s teacher is the easiest. Your child cannot get on a bus other than their regular scheduled bus unless they have a note from their parent stating they have your permission. IF you have to call the office, please do so before 2pm.
Please remember: Students are not to stay in the building after school for any reason unless supervised by a coach or designated adult.
