DISTINXION BASKETBALL CAMP

The Zellar Family Distinxion Basketball Camp registration forms are in the school office.  The camp will be in Sullivan from July 9-11, 2015.  This is for co-ed students entering 2nd-8th grade in the 2015-2016 school year.  The cost is $149 for first child.  Each additional sibling is $99.  This includes the price of a tshirt.  Pre-register before May 1, 2015 and get $20 off the first child registration!

PTO PANCAKE BREAKFAST

PTO will be sponsoring a Parent/Someone Special pancake breakfast on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 7-8am at the school.  There are RSVP forms in the office so that they can have a general idea of how many to prepare for.

PTO LAUNDRY DETERGENT FUNDRAISER

The order forms and money for the laundry detergent are due no later than Friday, April 17th.  Checks should be made payable to the Carlisle School PTO.

PTO OUTSTANDING TEACHER CONTEST

Do you or did you have an OUTSTANDING TEACHER at Carlisle Elementary/Jr. High School?  Tell us about him or her in an essay of 100 words or less why they were an Outstanding Teacher.  We will be honoring five teachers the first week of May during Teacher Appreciation Week.  They will be chosen from your essays.  The essays are due no later than Friday, April 24.  Essays should be typed please.  Good luck and have fun with this.

WALK A MANIA

Walk A Mania is scheduled for Friday, April 17, 2015.  Your student can pay $1 to walk an hour during class time.  There will drinks available for purchase. This benefits the March of Dimes.

CLUB AND SPRING SPORTS PICTURES

There will be club/spring sports pictures on April 21, 2015.  Bring your club shirts/uniforms.  These pictures will be strictly for our yearbook.

The Middle School track team will have individual/team pictures taken on Tuesday, April 14th after school before track practice at the high school track.  Make sure you have your uniform.  This team picture will include both Sullivan and Carlisle track team members.

TALENT SHOW

The Talent Show has been CANCELLED due to lack of participation.

SHS BAND TOUR

The SHS band will be on a corporation-wide tour on Friday, April 24th.  They will be at Carlisle at approximately 8:50am.

SALVATION ARMY FREE SUMMER CAMP

The Salvation Army Free Summer Camp has registration forms in the office.  There are different age groups and dates so if you are interested, you need to come to the office and get a form.  For more information, you may contact The Salvation Army Sullivan County Service Extension Unit at 812-691-8174.

8th GRADE TSHIRTS 

The 8th grade tshirts have been ordered.  They are $8 and need to be paid for ASAP.  Contact the office if you have any questions.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND INSTRUMENT SELECTION FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR

There will be two scheduled instrument selection nights for any 5th grader who is interested in playing in the middle school band for the next school year.  This is also for any current 6th or 7th grader who would like to sign up for band for next year and needs to select an instrument.  You may go to either meeting.  One will be at SMS and one will be at Carlisle.  The first scheduled evening is Monday, April 27th at the Sullivan Middle School band room from 6-7:30pm.  Mrs. Weeks will be there for a while.  The Carlisle meeting will be on Monday, May 11th in the school cafeteria from 5;30-7pm.

CARLISLE JUNIOR HIGH PARENT MEETING REGARDING 2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR

There will be a parent meeting regarding the junior high for the upcoming school year on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 6pm in the cafeteria.  Any Carlisle parent/student is welcome to attend. There are some rumors milling around and this will be discussed.  Mr. Stitzle and Mrs. Jones will be in attendance to help answer any questions or concerns you may have.  We strongly encourage you to attend.  We want to work together to make Carlisle Elementary & Junior High School be the best it can possibly be.

SPORTS PHYSICALS

Physicals for the 2015-2016 school year are going to be on Tuesday, May 12th.  You MUST have a physical on file to participate in ANY school sport including dance and cheer.  The cost is $10.  You may print off the physical form from the SHS website or pick one up in the school office.  The checks must be made payable to the Sullivan Medical Clinic if you choose to pay that way.  The form and money need to be turned in to the office by Monday, May 11th.  This is such an easy way for your child to get their sports physical…no waiting in the doctor’s office! All student athlete’s should make use of opportunity.
